January – March Update

First Things First 🀍

Happy Birthday to the most important person in my life — Lawrence (3/11).

You deserve your own entire post, but since I’m behind (as usual), this will have to do for now. Thank you for being steady, thoughtful, patient, and the kind of man who cooks dinner on his own birthday because money is tight and you care about everyone else first. We love you more than you know.

And a very special Happy Birthday to my mom (3/6). We celebrated her the best way we know how — together.

January Highlights
  • Glow-in-the-dark birthday party for Logan and Allyza (yes, I made the invites — adding to Past Creations).
  • Lucy started her own sticker collage like me πŸ₯Ή
  • Family night with Lawrence’s side going through old photos — core memory unlocked.

February Moments
  • Lucy attended her first school dance (that we got to attend as a family). She walked around with a boy… which put all her uncles, cousins, Tata, and Lawrence on edge πŸ˜‚
  • Celebrated Lisa’s birthday at our house — we absolutely adore her.
  • Lawrence went to “Donuts with Dads” at Lucy’s school.
  • Only 3 Valentine’s Hat Box orders this year. I may need to reconsider pricing before Easter.
  • Work has been… challenging. Being put on review for my rejections wasn’t my favorite season, but it is what it is.
  • Made my mom a Chinle Wildcat pullover (adding to Past Creations).
  • Sara earned her first baseball participation medal.
  • Lucy’s team placed 3rd overall for the season πŸŽ‰
  • Bridal expo in Phoenix with Alysa — wedding planning Sunday done right.
  • Lucy recited her poem at school (proud mom moment).
  • I spotted Jupiter and Venus one evening — small but magical.
  • Designed Mason’s cake + ice cream birthday invite (he turns 7 on March 14!).
  • Lucy attended another birthday party — yes, the same boy from the dance.
  • Mom came to visit at the end of February.

March So Far

For my mom’s birthday, we went back to Chinle:
  • Visited Four Corners
  • Piccadilly every day (as it should be)
  • Ate at our favorite spots — and randomly met a TikTok star who lives in Japan and is from Chinle like me (small world moment).
  • Visited an overlook (photo attached in honor of Lawrence today)
  • Spent time with my grandma and dad — and learned things about her I never knew
  • Lawrence saw our proud little waterfall in the Chuska Mountains
  • Stopped along Route 66 on the way home, including the teepee motels that inspired the Cozy Cone in Cars
And Lucy lost another tooth 🦷

I didn’t publish a Craft Table Report for February or March. I didn’t stay consistent with Instagram the way I wanted to. I got stuck. Again.

But life was happening. Full life. Loud life. Beautiful life.
And that counts.

More Past Creations coming soon!
